TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement)

Olly’s Story

Before

Olly is a 9 year old boxer who presented with a lameness in his left hind leg. His lovely owner was concerned about the possibility of cancer. However his examination and x-rays confirmed Cranial Cruciate Disease with complete rupture of his cranial cruciate ligament.

Surgery

Katie the vet, with the help of our fantastic nursing team, preformed a surgical technique called a TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) to provide the stability Olly’s Knee needed to allow him to return to his usual playful self.

After

An x-ray taken post operation.

Rehabilitation

After his surgery Olly’s recovery was greatly enhanced with sessions of hydrotherapy, with our hydro therapist Ren, to rebuild and strengthen his muscles. Olly is now fully sound, off pain medication and full of boxer bounce 6 months after his surgery .
